fox with this!

May 31, 2012

Ello ello ello!

…as many of you know, or have seen, i have a graphic style…in the spirit of this project and testing skills and patience, i decided to manhandle some aerosol realism… far, so good if i do say so myself…

palette of the beast…a mix of belton molotow and montana94. (this project is wiping out my can stash!)

Oh, hey girl…yeah, just painting this fox….which isn’t nearly as foxy as you!

taming the beast.

don’t bite the hand that paints you!

…hands so fast he could out-spin the Flash!

Thanks for playing along with my antics! Until next time friends…

(Extra special thanks to Jen Lowen from Greenfire for hooking up the printing of the propoganda and Vedada for the snaps.)

Day 9

May 22, 2012

Hello there!

Welcome to the day 9 rewind…

i’m finally ready to take this mural portion to the next level

i get by with a lil help from my friends…  being that i’m such an anal bastard when it comes having rich opaque color, i HAD to get some help filling! (THANK YOU Vedada!!!!!)

…now, for a few finishing touches…

little eyes and little teeth need little brushes and some TLC.

…and a lil dab here….

…another lil dab right about here….

..and there we go…that should just about do it.

i’m thinking this lil fella will look real nice on this wall.  i’m SUPER excited!…now that there’s color on every wall and the face pattern is complete, i’m ready to lay down the secondary background elements and start laying out the images and characters!  this is when it gets real fun and fun to watch!

oh, hey girl!…i just wanted to thank you for being so great and peeping out my blog.    (haaaaa clownin!)

until next time….CHEERS!

Day 5

May 18, 2012

Hello friends!

It’s the Day 5 update!!  Short and sweet today…gotta get to the studio and hustle…it’s a work weekend.

the day’s progress was about getting more background color on the blank walls…and making the face pattern a lil more possessed.

perfecto! color end to end…and i think i’ve made a nice little nook for one of the installation pieces.

a lil squeeze and drips with ease.

…sometimes a big squirt doesn’t hurt.

paparazzi always in the place!  stock piling that footage for the documentary.

filling in those hungry eyes…i love that classic bubblicious color combo.

Oh, hey girl. Yeah, I’m just paintin…

Always a pleasure y’all! Thanks again for stopping by.  Stay tuned for more updates and anecdotes…the facebook invite for the show is coming soon! show some love and rsvp.

(p.s. THANK YOU’S to Vedada and John Osgood for the snaps with me in em…and SHOUTS OUT to GODS OF GEOMETRY for the wears.)

Day 4

May 17, 2012

Howdy All!

Still with me?  …we’re 4 days into the gallery beautification process!

Day 4 was all about finishing up the face pattern on the pink section and getting real swampy with the color drips in some of the blank areas…

SAFETY FIRST ALWAYS! it is important to stretch and limber up before, during, and after!

workin it from up on the ladder down to the squat position, get my exercise in too.

…and there we go…i can live with that for now…onto the drips!

gonna need a lil of the ol’ poo poo brown

…some Slimer green….and…

Smurf blue.

sauce monster solace getting busy with the doo doo brown. (that ish SERIOUSLY smelled…whEW!)

making it a tad more smurfy. (love the drips running through my fingers)

not bad for a days’ work (this badass portrait courtesy of the talented and gorgeous Vedada)

remember…if you wanna hop on down sometime this next week and see the goings on, gimme a holler!

see you tomorrow friends!

(THANK YOU’s to Vedada and John Osgood for the snaps with me in em)

Day 3

May 16, 2012

Welcome to the day 3 recap.

i knew yesterday was gonna be lengthy, so i had to stock up on the snacks

…i began working my way around the room blocking in some color

the saucy solace magic

..and the dripped-out doorway.

i loooooooove this color! it’s like creamsicle.

making it rain.

a lil tangerine shower.

…and the camera’s came out for filming…

camera check – one

camera check – two ….rolling!

doodling some of the wander faces to make a spiffy background pattern

eye level

everything else i can reach without a ladder…time to pack up.

Whew! Day 3 y’all! ….thanks for stopping by…i’ll see you tomorrow.
